Supino Pizzeria’s Eastern Market dining room to reopen; new hours set for both locations

Bit by bit, the Eastern Market location of popular Supino Pizzeria has made its way back to 100% following a fire in the apartments upstairs in April 2023.

Owner Dave Mancini tells The Detroit News the Russell street restaurant will fully reopen for dine-in service on Tuesday. The pizzeria opened for carryout-only service in April, a full year after the fire, but still wasn’t in a position to welcome back guests to the dining room for lunch and dinner.

“We’re jumping right in, going right back to the full bar, booze, wine. We had our liquor license reinstated, the kitchen has been prettied up,” said Mancini, adding that while there were many setbacks over the past several months, he is thankful for the support from his landlord FIRM Real Estate, interior design house Midwest Common and Donut Shop, which helped with the renewed cabinetry and benches.
